Job Description:
Volt is immediately hiring Photocathode Assembler in (Tempe,
AZ)

As a Photocathode Assembler you:
Will adhere to procedures and work instructions to perform a
variety of processes, achieving quality and yield goals.
The Photocathode process includes the following activities:
Metallization and/or coating of glass substrates using various
deposition equipment to achieve proper electro-optical surface
conditions
Surface preparation of pre and post metalized or coated substrates
using cleaning agents, solvents and acids to prepare substrates for
post-processing
Inspect pre and post metalized or coated glass substrates in order
to comply with internal and external acceptance criteria
Fully proficient in this role and able to work safely with limited
supervision, Assignments can be moderately difficult requiring
independent judgement
Maintain accurate record entry through use of onsite Quality
Tracking System (QTS)
Ability to use chemicals (acids, bases, and solvents) and use
inspection equipment
Perform other duties as required
Essential Responsibilities:
Metallization and/or coating of glass substrates using various

Inspect pre and post metalized or coated glass substrates in order

Use of a microscope to preform inspection tasks
Recognize and categorize 40+ failure modes set against a criterion
developed for individually designed night vision components for the
purposes of data and quality tracking
Fully proficient in this role and able to work safely with limited
supervision, assignments can be moderately difficult requiring
independent judgement
Maintain accurate record entry through use of onsite Quality
Tracking System (QTS)
Ability to use chemicals (acids, bases, and solvents) and use
inspection equipment
Darkness or low lighting (in inspection and test areas)
Perform other duties as required
Basic Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum or 4 years prior
relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree
with 0 to 2 years of prior related manufacturing work
experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Using high and medium power inspection tools to verify compliance
to inspection criteria
Train to recognize and categorize 40+ failure modes set against a
criterion developed for individually
designed night vision components for the purposes of data and
quality tracking.
Good eye-hand coordination, and ability to lift and do repeat
tasks.
Ability to become familiar with SPC (Statistical Process
Control)
Must be able to work alone and with others in a team environment
under minimal supervision
Acts as a resource to others within area who are less
proficient
Communicates directly with and involves engineering for the
determination of questionable quality issues for evaluation.
Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office) Data entry, Inventory of
components both physical and virtual from the computer
Ability to use a microscope
Must be able to multitask
Ability to use chemicals (acids, bases, and solvents)
Ability to use inspection equipment
General working knowledge of Lean and 5S+1 methodology
Clean Room protocols Darkness or low lighting (in inspection and
test areas)
This is a 12 Month full time Contract or Contract to hire
opportunity.
Pay Range: $20.00 - $21.00 per hour.
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on
several factors, including the candidate's education, work
experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications,
etc.
